The work

470 originals. Most are generated here from a written brief that names two art-historical traditions and one impossible subject, then held to a single rule: the two traditions must be one object, not two halves of a collage. The newest four collections were made the other way round — drawn by hand in another tool, then chosen one at a time, and the brief written afterwards so the rest of each series can follow.

The printing

Fine-art and Hahnemühle cotton-rag prints and gallery-wrapped canvas, produced by Prodigi — up to 24 × 36 inches. Apparel is direct-to-garment or all-over print, by Printful.

The honest part

This art is machine-made, and we are not going to be coy about it. What is not machine-made is the brief: the two traditions named, the rule that they must fuse rather than sit side by side, and the judgement about which of them is worth your wall.
